Series Description
The GE Fanuc IC200 and IC300 are legacy PLC families now supported under Emerson Automation Solutions. The IC200 series was designed for small to medium-sized applications, featuring a modular architecture, a broad selection of I/O modules, and compatibility with multiple communication protocols — making it a cost-effective choice for machine control, material handling, and compact automation systems. The IC300 series, offering higher processing power, expanded memory, and more advanced programming capabilities, was suited for larger and more complex automation tasks.
Although both product lines are no longer actively developed, they remain widely deployed across industrial environments. Emerson now recommends its modern PACSystems platform for new installations, while continued maintenance, technical support, and availability of spare parts remain essential for sustaining existing IC200/IC300 installations.
